The Fair features holiday greens, centerpieces, wreaths and plants; exceptional handcrafts; our popular holiday-wrapped hostess and Christmas gifts, home-baked gourmet foods, and preserves. This year, in honor of their 175th Anniversary, the Sewing Circle is selling their new cookbook entitled “A Circle of Recipes,” filled with recipes and historical commentaries from members.
A delicious three-course luncheon featuring chicken tetrazzini, will be served at two seatings: 11:30 am and 1:00pm for $15 per person. Reservations are recommended by calling 978-283-2247.
Founded in 1837, the Annisquam Sewing Circle is one of the oldest, continuously meeting, independent societies of women in the United States and is the oldest one on Cape Ann. The Annisquam Sewing Circle was one of the organizations to receive the Gloucester Historical Commission Organization Award 2011 for their 175 years of service to the Cape Ann community.
All proceeds from the Christmas Fair are contributed by the Sewing Circle to Cape Ann community programs.
